Teacher burnout occurs when teachers value their students wellbeing over theirs. Teachers have accepted the lie that they have to care more about their students than themselves. Teachers will reflect on what THEY want and need for themselves regardless of what anyone else says. They will create an obituary for themselves to trigger what they want to create for themselves and use this to motivate them to focus on their needs. That IS the goal...for teachers to be selfish, for once. Teachers will leave with a new perspective...and obituary to hang in their classroom.
