How to Avoid the Dreaded Teacher Uniform

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

My presentation will highlight how being stylish and maintaining a sense of self is a form of self care. Teachers often sacrifice their style for the sake of "putting in the work" and my goal is to dispel that myth. You can still be stylish and be a good teacher. In most cases, how you dress will directly send a message to your students before you ever say a word. In my presentation, I will share strategies on how to build a capsule wardrobe that can be both professional and stylish. I will share tips/strategies on how to dress for your body, your budget and your job without losing a sense of self. I will offer a questionnaire/survey that will help teachers identify if they have fallen into a rut better known as the "teacher uniform" then offer ways on how to reclaim their style! Teachers will walk away with strategies on how to find pieces that are not only flattering and multi-functional but also with a better understanding of the connection between an effective teacher and how they dress.
