Each June hundreds of educators from across the country make the journey to the Teacher Self-Care Conference that inspires their practice and rejuvenates their hearts. They leave with strong strategies and best practices for taking care of themselves in the midst of the whirlwind that teaching has become. Join us to find new teaching friends, new connections with education luminaries, and enough self-care strategies to harmonize their year.
In 2019, the Teacher Self-Care Annual Conference is scheduled for June 21-22, 2019! This year our theme is, "The Spirit of a Teacher" where we’ll be hearing from groundbreaking speakers, cutting-edge workshops, and seminars that address what teachers need.  Before signing up for your session, please purchase your tickets.

How to Have the Heart of a Teacher

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Many professionals have the content and knowledge of a teacher, but their heart is not in it which leads to frustration, burn out, poorly delivered content, minimal engagement with colleagues, and sometimes poor evaluations. Teachers will complete a true colors activity and a heart of a teacher exercise to see where their strengths lie and the areas in which need polishing. Teachers will receive practical strategies and teaching that they can implement immediately in their lives. The goal of the workshop is to sharpen each other, encourage one another that their calling as a teacher is important, who they are and what they do matter, as well as send them home with tools and resources that can boost their personal, teaching, and professional lives and career. The type of audience engagement will be an icebreaker and energizer, live questions and answers,  polling, a workshop hashtag across social media for future references and sharing of ideas, testimonials or questions, and unique seating. Teachers will leave with the true color activity they can implement immediately in their classrooms, homes, or businesses. Teachers will leave with a self-awareness of their strengths and how they can use them to polish areas of concern. Teachers will leave with additional knowledge on the heart of a teacher and what things need to be put in place when they feel they are not where they desire to be.
