Each June hundreds of educators from across the country make the journey to the Teacher Self-Care Conference that inspires their practice and rejuvenates their hearts. They leave with strong strategies and best practices for taking care of themselves in the midst of the whirlwind that teaching has become. Join us to find new teaching friends, new connections with education luminaries, and enough self-care strategies to harmonize their year.
In 2019, the Teacher Self-Care Annual Conference is scheduled for June 21-22, 2019! This year our theme is, "The Spirit of a Teacher" where we’ll be hearing from groundbreaking speakers, cutting-edge workshops, and seminars that address what teachers need.  Before signing up for your session, please purchase your tickets.

“Before I Let Go” How to Implement Classroom Management

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In this workshop, I will showcase R&B Music Sensation Beyoncé’s rendition of “Before I Let Go” along with my “ChoiceOverVoice” educational campaign to demonstrate how the effective implementation of classroom management can help build the capacity of educators and improve student achievement. Teachers are exiting the classroom in record numbers and studies show the main reason is their failure to gain control of the classroom. I will demonstrate how to create an environment conducive for learning, with high levels of student engagement, differentiated instruction, as well as, relevant, rigorous, and real-world lesson planning. This workshop will dissect the relevant factors required to gain control of your classroom from day one without utilizing expletives or losing control, which can ultimately lead to having a mental and/or emotional breakdown. Hence, I created the #CHOICEOVERVOICE movement to help save future and existing educators and afford them the opportunity to maintain a heathy work life balance! Samples from previous seminars include Eric Thomas aka ET Inspires “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful”, B.O.S.S. M.O.V.E.S. by BOSS DRUM, along with PROPEL Educational Services, and many more.
